1. Who we are

CodHub ("we", "us", "our") operates the website codhub.net and the "Cod Hub" mobile application (Android), referred to together as the "Service". The Service is a community platform for Call of Duty players, providing social posts, clans, tournaments, streaming features, messaging, and a player-to-player marketplace.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have regarding it.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account data: username, email address, password (stored hashed), date of birth, optional display name, profile picture, banner image, bio.
  • Game profile: in-game UID, in-game name, region, level, preferred game modes, and links to your social media (YouTube, Twitch, Discord, X, TikTok, Instagram).
  • User content: posts, comments, images, video links, direct messages, clan messages, marketplace listings, ratings.
  • Marketplace data: listing details and, for verified top-up sellers, identity documents (national ID or passport) reviewed by our staff for fraud prevention.

Information collected automatically

  • Device data: device model, OS version, app version, IP address, language preference, push notification token (when you enable notifications).
  • Usage data: pages or screens viewed, features used, online/offline presence, timestamps of actions like posts and messages.
  • Cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in; a locale cookie to remember your language. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Permissions we request on Android

  • Camera: only used when you tap to take a profile picture, banner image, attachment in a post, or chat photo. Camera access is never used in the background.
  • Photos / Media: to let you pick existing images for your profile, posts, and messages.
  • Notifications: to deliver push notifications about messages, friend requests, and live streams from people you follow.
  • Internet: to communicate with our servers.

3. How we use your information

  • To create and operate your account.
  • To deliver the social features of the Service (feed, profile, clans, tournaments, messaging, streaming, marketplace).
  • To send you transactional notifications you opted in to (messages, friend requests, clan updates, etc.).
  • To enforce our Terms of Service, prevent fraud, moderate abusive content, and resolve marketplace disputes.
  • To respond to support requests you send us.
  • To improve the Service through aggregated, non-identifying analytics.

4. Legal basis (EU/UK users)

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under the GDPR/UK GDPR:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you signed up for.
  • Consent — for push notifications, optional profile fields, and identity verification when applying as a top-up seller.
  • Legitimate interests — to keep the platform secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the Service.
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws.

5. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only:

  • Publicly on your profile — your username, display name, profile/banner images, bio, posts, social links, and clan/tournament/marketplace activity are visible to other users of the Service.
  • With other users you interact with — direct messages are visible to the recipient; clan posts are visible to clan members; marketplace listings are visible to potential buyers.
  • With service providers that help us run the platform — hosting (VPS), authentication (Google, Discord), push notifications (Expo / FCM / APNs), and transactional email. These providers are bound by contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • If required by law — to comply with a valid legal request, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of CodHub or our users.

6. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is scheduled for permanent deletion within 7 days (you can cancel by signing in within that window). After deletion, we may retain a minimal amount of data for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or backup purposes for up to 90 days.

Identity verification documents submitted by top-up sellers are kept for as long as the seller is approved, plus up to 12 months after revocation, for dispute resolution.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data via your profile settings.
  • Delete your account and associated data via Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by emailing us.
  • Withdraw consent for optional processing (e.g. turn off push notifications in Settings).
  • Export a copy of your data — email us to request it.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below.

8. Children

CodHub is not directed to children under 16. You must be at least 16 years old to register. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has created an account, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. International transfers

CodHub is operated from Tunisia. By using the Service you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in countries that may have data protection laws different from your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses with our service providers.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data: HTTPS for all traffic, password hashing, restricted database access, and prompt patching of our servers. No internet service is 100% secure; if you suspect your account has been compromised, change your password and contact us immediately.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you in-app and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
